Historic Charm and Elegance on Beautiful Cape Cod

Looking for a Cape Cod getaway?

Look no further than the Orleans Waterfront Inn, a beautifully restored sea captain's home, and the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Located on Orleans Cove in Orleans, Massachusetts, Orleans Waterfront Inn is nestled between the spectacular beaches of the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the quiet, serene beaches of Cape Cod Bay to the west. You'll enjoy beautiful views of the cove right from our inn and have plenty of opportunities to relax on the many scenic beaches just a few minutes away.

We're the perfect location for your waterfront wedding. We provide custom wedding packages, designed to suit your unique plans. Because we only host one wedding per day, you'll have exclusive use of all the Orleans Waterfront Inn has to offer.

A cape cod favorite

ORLEANS wATERFRONT inN

The Orleans Waterfront Inn is filled with rich history and splendor dating back to 1875. Originally constructed as a sea captain's home, you'll feel the Orleans Waterfront Inn's charm as soon as you enter the beautifully restored lobby.

The inn's eleven elegant guest rooms, unique waterfront dining room, cozy tavern, and outdoor deck overlooking the Orleans Town Cove will continue to remind you that you've chosen the perfect place for your Cape Cod getaway. The restaurant is accessible; however, the guest room level requires walking up a set of stairs. Since our property is a historical inn, none of our guest rooms are handicapped accessible.

The Orleans Waterfront Inn stands as a historical monument to Orleans, Massachusetts, one of Cape Cod's most beautiful towns. The town of Orleans is found at the outer bend in the elbow of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Inn overlooks the Orleans Town Cove, an inlet to beautiful Nauset Harbor.

Ocean, bays, and lakes

Want to experience the sheer power of the Atlantic Ocean? We recommend Nauset Beach, just a few minutes east of the inn. Nauset Beach is a stunning ten-mile stretch of sparkling white sand and rolling dunes along the Atlantic. Depending on weather conditions, waves can vary from small, gentle ones that kids can enjoy to massive swells that challenge the best surfers. This is a very popular beach, so, if you plan on using the public parking facilities, get there early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

For a more relaxed experience, head a few minutes west to Skaket Beach along Cape Cod Bay. The water's relatively warm and calm. Tidal pools form at low tide, exposing a variety of sea life, including fish and small crabs. Skaket Beach is the perfect place to fly a kite, take an evening stroll, or enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Pilgrim Lake and Crystal Lake are small, family-friendly lakes just a few minutes south of Orleans Waterfront Inn. Perfect for swimming, canoeing, and picnics.

The perfect Paddling location

kayaks and canoes

The Orleans area has some of the best kayaking and canoeing opportunities anywhere. You can basically drop your boat in any body of water in the surrounding area and enjoy a relaxing day of pleasant paddling.

One excellent location for kayaking or canoeing is Upper Pleasant Bay. You can head for any number of small, undeveloped islands or explore the bay's many backwater areas.

Nauset Marsh is another excellent area to explore by kayak, paddleboard, or canoe. Nauset Marsh is a salt marsh creek system that is part of Cape Cod National Seashore Park. You'll be able to see a variety of wildlife, including gray seals, heron, egrets, gulls, and terns.

Of course, the most convenient place to drop your boat is next to Orleans Waterfront Inn. It's easy to do since we're right on the banks of Orleans Cove.

Absolutely wonderful. If your looking for a cookie cutter hotel this is not for you but if your looking for a once in a life time experience this is the place. You feel like you are part of his family and he treats you as such. We will be back and this is the place we will stay. Thank you for the great experience!

I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Inn. Great location that served as my hub for my Cape adventures, beautiful view of the cove on the back deck, and a casual comfortable vibe. Very relaxed and welcoming, like I was staying at a friend's house...really big house. Definitely would stay there again.
